Have you ever fallen so behind on a simple task that diving back in feels herculean? Each time I sit down to write one of these, I intend to write a short and topical list. Inevitably, it snowballs until it completely morphs into an entirely new topic. With editing and time, it strays so far from the original draft that there's often no longer a focus at all.
Is less more? Or are my long, rambling, unfocused, yet infrequent lists okay? Will you read at your leisure?
Let me know below, what you think and what you would prefer from me.
In the meantime, I'm cooking up a list of 7 podcast episodes I liked. See you (hopefully) soon with my attempt at simplicity and conciseness.
The long, rambling lists are so comforting--maybe because they feel like how my brain works, too. Moving from one thing to the next, everything very slightly connected in one way or another. But I also think that short missives could nicely break up the longer ones (which sounds like what the podcast rec list might be)! I think whatever length/form your lists take, they are always appreciated and enjoyed :)
ps. I reread this article Captain sent me a year ago, it helps. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/12/12/well/mind/task-paralysis.html?unlocked_article_code=1.A00.xe9U.mmKgq20UkPr1&smid=nytcore-ios-share&referringSource=articleShare
